    Mosquito Patch

    kite_patch_zmaic

Did you know that mosquitos actually track you by detecting CO2 from your breath.. crazy, huh? Kite is an innovative product that is currently being tested and seeking funding to release mosquito repellant patches that you wear and can last up to 48 hours. Think about all the people around the globe who die from diseases carried by mosquitos who could really use this… not to mention my sweet-blooded self who gets eaten alive every summer. Another example of technology for good.

  • So I can’t stop listening to “Until We Get There” by Lucius and thought I’d share it with you. They’re an awesome, dreamy band from Brooklyn. Enjoy!

  • Located at the foot of the Hochschwab mountains in Austria, the Grüner See is a county park during the frosty winter season. However, after the temperatures start to go up in spring, and the ice and snow starts to melt, the park floods with crystal clear water. The water ranges from around a couple of meters deep during the winter season up to 10 meters during the summer time, when it turns into a paradise for divers and tourists. The waters slowly begin to recede by the end of July. Can’t tell you how badly I want to see this before I die!
